Supporting Hands Doula Care LLC.
"Encouraging the strength in every woman to birth their baby"
Over the years, supporting home deliveries, hospital deliveries, birth center deliveries, medicated and unmedicated vaginal deliveries, and C-sections, my philosophy has evolved but the groundings remain the same. There are solid evidence-based practices and values that support the way a mother should and can labor. Here are just a few...
A mother has the right to choose her birth desires in a birth plan and alter them at anytime
Proper nutrition, sleep, and support are crucial to all phases of pregnancy and delivery
Eating during early labor is for fuel and strength
Laboring in the comfort of your home as long as possible helps with relaxation, dilation, and overall morale
Delivering vaginally and unmedicated is just as much mental as it is physical
The ability to remain mobile and to labor how you feel is significant
Push in the position best for you and for optimal openness
10 centimeters does not mean time to push. Allowing the body to naturally tell you when it feels the urge to push
Having medical interventions and/or a C-section does not make you a failure or any less of a parent
Postpartum support and care is extremely underrated and needs as much planning if not more as your birth
Breastfeeding needs patience, support, and a comfortable space to express your feelings
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
- Isaiah 41:10

Sharea was such a blessing for me! Her availability was so convenient and she was willing to meet with us at short notice, only a week and a half before I delivered.
Jarvis M., Husband
She was a lifesaver I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. Listen if there’s any guys reading this it’s definitely worth the investment. Seriously, you’ll need the help.
I can’t say enough good things about Sharea and our experience! I had an unmedicated home birth with my husband, a midwife and her team, and Sharea as our Doula, and it was wonderful! Hiring a Doula was the best decision we made!.
